High Pressure Water Jetting
This process, also known as drain jetting, provides highly effective drain cleaning results. Our high-end equipment has considerable power, some to the extent of cutting through concrete, so our clients in Essex areas such as Southend, Romford and Chelmsford can rest assured that we treat Health & Safety with the utmost severity.
We hold certification from the National Association of Drainage Contractors and train our staff to the highest of standards. This ensures that, when on site, we work with meticulous precision in the safest possible environments.
As drain unblockers, we carry out high pressure water jetting in order to:
By utilising these pressurised water jets, our clients have the peace of mind that their drains remain free of blockages and will continue to function optimally for the foreseeable future.
Patch Repairs & Re-Lining
We undertake patch repairs within a localised region of pipeline that requires structural repair. However, if these patches exceed one or two areas in the same proximity, it’s usually more efficient and cost-effective to carry out complete re-lining repair work on the entire pipe.
If one of our CCTV drainage surveys uncovers issues such as cracks, fractures or joint displacement, we strongly advise carrying out pipe repairs. Even the smallest fracture has the potential to lead to root ingress and water infiltration, both of which will only worsen with time. In addition, pipe fractures also cause other complications including erosion of the soil surrounding the pipe.
As a customer-focused drainage contractor, we avoid the more traditional excavation solutions for such repair work. When compared with our favoured no-dig technology, they offer less efficiency, more disruption and greater cost.
While every job in Southend, Romford, Chelmsford and the surrounding areas has a unique drainage solution, one common example involves using specialist rotational pipeline cutting tools. We can set the size of these tools to suit the diameter of any pipeline before one of our drain unblockers feeds it into system.
When activated, it then cuts away anything within its path, including plant roots and collapsed liners.
With a clear pipeline, our team then re-lines the affected areas, be it a small patch or entire stretches. To do this, we use a 2-part resin impregnation method. This process starts by inserting a resin-impregnated sleeve into the pipe. When in place, our onsite drain unblocker inflates the sleeve, allowing it to take the shape of the surrounding pipe. At this point, the resin flows around the outside of the sleeve before being left to harden.
When the resin has cured, we deflate the sleeve and remove it, leaving behind either a newly formed patch of pipe where a fracture once was, or any entirely new area of piping.
In some cases, pipes within a drainage system have suffered damage to such an extent that excavation needs to take place in order to install replacements. We understand the word ‘excavation’ carries images of heavy duty machinery and huge holes in the ground, but this is rarely the case.
In fact, more often than not, we only need to utilise a mini-digger, and sometimes just a fork and shovel.
Projects of this size differ from site to site, with the only unifying factor being an inability to fix the problem through re-lining.
